about

Unapologetically Black 2.

An unintended sequel that celebrates the black voices from Brighton (UK); with a mix of extremely personal truths surrounding the world events that have deeply affected the black community: from mental health, the publicized murder of Chris Kaba via the Police - to personal talks about grief, bereavement, death and the epitome of what black joy truly means.

Whilst the first installment enabled artists from the music industry to come together and protest alongside the black community; Part 2 is an unfiltered commentary on the state of the world today, as well as there only being black voices present to truly give an unfiltered perspective about black history that can only be told through their mouths.

This time around - no topic is off limits.

Everything from the taboo, to Marshall's personal struggles of dealing with cumulative grief and asking the scariest of questions of what blackness truly means; this album stays true to the title of what the original ethos of "Unapologetically Black" was originally defined as.

Part 2 will truly have you on the edge of your seat; but it's an album that lifts a massive magnifying glass on the black community and simultaneously celebrates the existence of blackness in the 21st Century.

Unapologetically Black 2. Raw, passionate, emotionally-driven; yet extremely beautiful within the cracks.
